The Saga Continues

Right now we are in the midst of a prolonged illness. Little Guy has been sick for over a week, and had now been to the doctor four times in the last five days. Finally today, I think we have hope at the end of the tunnel. He is no longer getting worse, and the doctor said he could see some improvement in his ears. We are also fighting bronchiolitis. His wheezing is a little better today. I need to try to keep giving him breathing treatments, which he hates, but they may help a little. Because he has two illnesses, he was a candidate for a 4th set of antibiotic injections.

Bless his heart, he really has stayed pretty positive through it all and is a strong little fighter. You go Little Guy, Momma loves you!

We're back???

Only like 1 1/2 years later! I've been posting a lot of stuff on Facebook and a couple of friends said they aren't on there and that they liked the blog I had been doing before. I may try to see if I can keep this up for a bit again.

Let's see, it's the day after Christmas and we're in Ohio. Little Boo had a great time opening presents and then playing with a couple of them. I think he's starting to get past the teething stage for this round as his congestion has started to clear and he's no longer drooling. However, he has been a crab apple for the past few days, which is very unlike him. Right now he's down for a morning nap, which is also unusual. Yesterday he took both a morning and afternoon which was a great Christmas gift to Mom and Dad. Thankfully he's been sleeping fairly well at my parents. Generally when we visit it takes him about 3 nights to get used to sleeping in his pack and play, but this time he's adapted more quickly. I think it has to do with the fact that he's so tired. Anyway, we'll take it!

We're going to Toys R Us a litle later to return a chair we bought him and buy his gift from Grandma and Grandpa Meyer. Looks to be a good day!

Craziness update

We found a place to live yesterday, right down town Monticello. BTW, yes Tom, there is a themepark nearby. The town reminds me a lot of Port Clinton actually, there are two lakes, a river and lots of waterfront areas. Tourism is one of their biggest industries.

Anyway, we are going to rent a house for a year. It's kinda very tiny, but there is a basement and garage with a lot of storage. We started collecting boxes, and I have one box officially packed! Only 200 more to go!

ODell worked his first day at the new job today and has now been finger printed and drug tested. Next project is to fill out all his paperwork and get me through my final projects for the summer classes I'm taking.

Things to Do When you are 8-9 mos pregnant

#1....MOVE! Yes, that's right and that's our current goal :-) Today ODell had a second interview for a job and was offered the position on the spot. He will now be a 6th grade Special Ed teacher in the Logansport Community Schools. Needless to say we are VERY excited. However, we are now frantically looking for a place to live that is 1/2 way between our schools. Our schools will be about an hour apart, so we're looking in Monticello, IN (pronounced "sell-o", not cello like the instrument) We'll keep you posted on our progress. ((BTW, did I mention that school starts in like 3 weeks? 8/11 for teachers!))

I know it's been AGES since I made a post, so here is the latest.... School has been out for a little bit and we made one trip to Ohio to visit my parents. Next week we are planning another trip. While we are there, my cousin Darcie is planning a baby shower for Little Boo! ( We have registered at Target and ToysRUs/BabiesRUs. )

Speaking of Little Boo, he seems to be growing like a weed. I now feel his kicking on a daily basis. He is almost kicking hard enough for ODell to feel him from the outside. I've felt him on the outside just a couple of times, but ODell was not close enough to feel it while it was happening.

Our other Little Pooper is also growing quite quickly. She is a real sweetheart most of the time and now responds to her name. Potty training is going pretty well with only a few small accidents each week. She is learning "sit" and "come" and always does better when treats are involved. She still has terrible separation anxiety. Any suggestions?
